Hello from FLIPSIDE Quarantine HQ!

Well, this has been quite the adventure, hasn't it? We hope that everyone is staying as healthy and safe as possible at this uncertain time. We've all shifted from our daily routines to working from home, balancing time for kids/work/play, and trying to stay active while social distancing.

But being socially distant doesn't mean we can't stay fit as a team!

Today, we're excited to announce Stronger Together!

Stronger Together

Beginning Monday, May 4, we're teaming up to bring you an amazing variety of instructors to keep your fitness routine THRIVING while we're stuck at home. Featuring multiple live online workouts every day, we're offering classes including yoga, pilates, strength, cardio, mobility, dance parties, and more!

Let's come together and get stronger while we're physically apart. EVERYONE IS WELCOME!

HIIT & Strength

Brooke (Co-Founder of FLIPSIDE NEW YORK) is a NASM-Certified Personal Trainer, Performance Enhancement, Prenatal & Post-Partum Certified, StrongFirst Level 1 Kettlebell Instructor, and Lead instructor for the cycling program at Chelsea Piers Fitness.

Brooke has a background in competitive gymnastics, track and field, dance, and theatre. She combines her love of performing with her love of movement to not only provide you with a workout, but with an experience that will help you reach the biggest goals you have for yourself

Allie teaches rhythm based interval cycling classes at CycleBar, as well as Versa climbing classes at Transform Colorado. She has years of experience in dance and other rhythm-based training and is excited to execute her skills virtually!

Ebonny Fowler is the Queen of making exercise fun for everyone! This certified fitness expert offers creative ideas to get an effective workout anytime, anywhere, and for anybody. She loves providing various options throughout her Instagram account to help people of every fitness level have @FunWithFit.

Get ready to let your pores sweat and muscles flex at the Fun With Fit Dance Party! This easy to follow dance workout mixes strength with cardio to work your legs, butt, arms and core. You’ll shake, shimmy, and squat to some of your favorite Pop, Hip-Hop, Latin, Caribbean, and Afrobeats music!

ELLIE ALEXANDER

Functional Mobility

Ellie is a NASM-Certified Personal trainer, Functional Range Conditioning Mobility Specialist, and Strong First Level 1 Kettlebell Instructor. She has an M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology and works at an outpatient rehab facility treating patients of all ages alongside Physical and Occupational Therapists.

Ellie uses exercise as fuel for LIFE. She views movement as therapy and will always greet you with a smile, whether she’s boxing, stretching, or crying her way through a fast-paced agility session.

EMILY FIORE

HIIT & Strength

Emily is a NASM-certified Personal Trainer and Corrective Exercise Specialist who has been teaching group fitness since 2015. She teaches HIIT, TRX, kettlebell, Pilates and calisthenics based classes infused with a focus on form, accessibility, functional movement patterns, and fun.

Emily balances her love for coaching with a healthy dose of sugar in the form of ice cream or chocolate anything, long walks with her pup, Yuma, and is currently learning how to dance on roller skates.

Vinyasa Yoga

Hunt is a senior yoga teacher and teacher trainer based in NYC with over a decade of experience. Besides teaching clients in his private practice, he's a faculty member at MindfulNYU, teaches classes for Chelsea Piers Fitness, and assists Cyndi Lee with her trainings and workshops all over the country.

// Vinyasa Yoga
During Hunt's mindfulness-based yoga class, we will work on developing strength, stability, and clarity in our bodies, while exploring the relationship between breath and mind. Appropriate for all experience levels, expect to move laugh, sweat a little bit, and walk away with a clear feeling of integration.



JAE McKINZIE

Pilates

Jae McKinzie is a NYC-based Personal Trainer and Pilates Instructor. She is also a professional dancer and Athletic Training student. Jae was always drawn to movement and the science behind how the body works.

Jae holds a degree in a Biology and Dance and uses her dance and anatomical background to help her clients understand the importance of Functional Movement. This teaches them how each muscle works and the importance of not just strength, but maintaining it to live a longer and healthier lifestyle.

In this class you will focus on breath and executing each exercise from the powerhouse. You will lengthen, strengthen, and tone in this full body workout.

Cycling & Stretch + Restore

As a designer and DJ, James brings both a creative flair and killer beats to the bike, the floor, or your paced run. He encourages you to find power within and challenges you to experience each class free of inhibitions.

Full body, rhythm-based cycling for all levels. Prepare with a towel, water, good vibes and a set of hand weights if you like to use them for the arms series.

// Stretch + Restore
Release tension, increase range of motion and flexibility, and restore your body back to balance so you’re ready to take on whatever is thrown your way.



JEREMY SULLIVAN

Strength

Jeremy has been an athlete ever since he could walk. In addition to training people, he is an avid surfer and snowboarder. For him, being active is a lifestyle.

Training people to utilize their body to achieve results through weight training, self-weight workouts, along with flexibility endurance training, are a part of Jeremy’s workouts programs with his clients. Jeremy’s going to challenge you and get you to go farther than you think you can!

Cardio Kickboxing

JOHN RODRIGUEZ

Cardio Kickboxing

John currently teaches group fitness at Lifetime Fitness, including bootcamps, kickboxing, and strength. He has been involved in teaching for the last 12 years with his training certification through NASM. John still practices Kyokushin karate which he started when he was a little kid growing up in Brazil.

High-intensity, rhythm-based class with a mix of shadow kickboxing and bodyweight exercises.



Dance Party

LAUREN KOSTKA

Dance Party

Lauren is a classically trained ballerina turned spin instructor/addict who thrives on sharing and spreading positive vibes. As a dancer, she relies on the power of movement and music to make sense of so much of life.

She knows how infectious energy can be, and pours all of her light and love into her passions so it can be shared with others!

High-intensity cardio movements meet living room dance party! Be prepared to sweat, smile, and shake it all out like no ones watching!

Circuit Training

Melora is a spin instructor at Chelsea Piers Fitness. She is currently studying for her Personal Training Certification through NASM. With a strong background in dance, she focuses on proper technique and movements. Melora is very passionate about using fitness as a way to help people feel empowered and push past physical boundaries.

Circuit style, full body exercises. Allowing for muscle groups to recover while keeping your heart rate up for an action packed cardio and endurance workout.



NOBLE JACKSON

Strength

Noble is a 17-year fitness enthusiast and trainer who’s excited to learn new self-contained ways of staying healthy, fit, and focused. He can’t wait to share new ideas and collaborate with old friends. He thanks you for joining our family!

HIIT & Strength

Rich was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York in the neighborhoods of Bay Ridge/Bensonhurst. He fell in love with fitness when he played football and wrestled in HS for Poly Prep.

Exposed to college-level lifting programs, he further continued his fitness career during his senior year of HS getting his NASM CPT, teaching small group classes while training individual clients 1-on-1. Rich currently attends Hunter College and teaches group fitness at multiple gyms while still practicing independent personal training.

SAMANTHA PURNELL

HIIT

Samantha (also known as Sam or Sammy) is an adventurer in her hometown of Stowe, Vermont. While taking advantage of where she lives (that means long harsh winters and very little sun all year round), Sam always finds a way to be outside with friends, family or getting lost in the woods by herself on her bike or in her trail running shoes!

But a quick HIIT or at home sweat session is part of her daily routine... basically, she’s the energizer bunny.

VLADIMIR PROPHETE

Jump Rope HIIT

Vladimir Prophete is a native NYer who has been in the fitness industry going on seven years. He got his start in fitness through boxing. His love of combat sports has led him to using what he’s learned to help people reach their fitness goals.

Vladimir uses boxing as a fun and interesting way to introduce fitness to people. As a group fitness instructor, he uses boxing drills/exercises to help people build a mind-body connection, all while helping them reach their fitness goals.

A high-intensity, full-body cardiovascular workout incorporating different aspects of fitness in every class in order to really challenge participants.
